These Terms are the agreement between you and us about a free Chrome extension and an entirely optional donation. They are short because the arrangement is simple.
Who you are agreeing with
KNF Publications, Inc. is a Maryland corporation. We also trade as Cherry Task, so a donation may show on your card or bank statement under that name. Both names mean the same company.

What these Terms cover
- the Chrome extension Single Page View for Google Docs (the “Extension”);
- our website at https://www.knfpub-inc.com; and
- the donation checkout at https://cart.knfpub-inc.com/single-page-view-for-google-docs/.
We call the last two, together, the “Site.” By installing the Extension or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. If you do not agree, do not install the Extension and do not use the Site.
Nothing here removes a right the law says you cannot give up. That includes your privacy rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and under California’s Online Privacy Protection Act and Consumer Privacy Act. If any sentence in these Terms conflicts with a right you cannot waive, that right wins.
1. What this is, and what it is not
The Extension is free. You do not have to donate to install it, to keep using it, or to receive updates. We do not sell the Extension, a subscription, a license tier, or any other product or service.
Payments on the Site are donations. A donation is voluntary, you choose the amount, and you receive nothing in exchange that you would not already have for free. It is not a purchase of software, not a license upgrade, and not a promise that any particular feature will be built.
We are not a charity. KNF Publications, Inc. is a for-profit company, not a tax-exempt or charitable organization. Donations to us are not tax-deductible charitable contributions, and we do not issue receipts that say otherwise. If you want a tax deduction, give to a registered charity instead.
Google Docs is Google’s product, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. The Extension works with the zoom and layout controls Google Docs already has. Your Google account and your documents remain governed by Google’s own terms.
2. Who can use it
You need to be old enough to agree to these Terms where you live. To donate, you also need to be old enough to use the payment method you choose — usually 18. The Extension is not directed at children.
3. Your license to the Extension
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Extension in a Chromium-based browser, on your own documents, in line with these Terms and the Chrome Web Store’s rules.
Please do not:
- sell, rent, or sub-license the Extension;
- pass it off as your own product;
- use it to break the law or to breach Google’s terms;
- use it to interfere with anyone else’s use of Google Docs or of the Extension.
Browser updates, Chrome Web Store policy changes, and changes to Google Docs itself can all affect how the Extension behaves. We may update it, pause it, or stop offering it altogether.
4. Donations and refunds
The checkout is operated by ThriveCart. Depending on the method you choose, the payment is processed by Stripe or by PayPal. Their terms govern the payment itself. We ask only for your email address and your payment details — see the Privacy Policy for what happens to them, and for what Stripe’s own card step can separately ask for.
Donations are one-off. We do not offer recurring or subscription donations, so there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
Refunds
If you donate and change your mind, email support@knfpub-inc.com within 14 days of your payment and we will refund you in full, no questions asked.
We will normally refund to your original payment method. If the payment provider will not accept a refund that way — because too much time has passed, for example — we will agree another way to get your money back to you.
After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion, except where the law says otherwise. Nothing here limits your rights to dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, or any consumer right you cannot waive.
A refund does not require you to uninstall anything. The Extension is free either way, and it stays yours.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with information. In short: the Extension collects nothing and sends us nothing; we set no cookies directly, and nothing from ThriveCart or Moosend loads until you click their button, as the Privacy Policy describes; a donation tells us your email address and the amount; and we only email you about updates if you tick the checkbox at checkout or submit your email through the Subscribe form.
California. CalOPPA requires us to publish a privacy policy, and we do. The CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, does not currently apply to us because we meet none of its thresholds — but we honor the substance of its access, correction, and deletion rights anyway, and we do not sell or share personal information as that law defines those words. Nothing in these Terms waives any right you have under California law.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland. You keep your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, your right to withdraw consent, and your right to complain to a supervisory authority. Nothing in these Terms limits them.
6. The Extension is provided “as is”
The Extension and the Site are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Specifically, we do not promise that fitting a page to your window, jumping to a page number, or the keyboard shortcuts will work in every document, every layout, every browser, or after every future change Google makes to Google Docs.
Some places do not allow these disclaimers. If you live in one of them, parts of this section may not apply to you, and you may have a statutory warranty for a reasonable period.
7. Limit on what we owe you
To the fullest extent the law allows, KNF Publications, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or the cost of substitute tools, arising from the Extension, the Site, or a donation.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Extension, the Site, or a donation is limited to the greater of: (a) the total amount you donated to us in the 12 months before the claim; or (b) USD $10.
None of this limits liability that the law does not permit us to limit — for example, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Consumers in the EEA and UK keep every mandatory consumer right. These Terms do not exclude liability where EU or UK law forbids excluding it.
8. Other companies
Google, the Chrome Web Store, Brizy, ThriveCart, Stripe, PayPal, hCaptcha, Moosend, and similar providers are independent companies. Their own terms and privacy policies govern their services, and we are not responsible for their outages, changes, or decisions.
9. Ownership
We and our licensors own the Extension, the Site, the name, and the branding. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you. If you send us feedback or a suggestion, we may use it to improve the product without owing you anything for it.
10. Changes and ending
We may change these Terms by posting an updated version with a new date at this address. If a change is significant, it takes effect 30 days after we post it, and continuing to use the Extension or the Site after that means you accept it. Where the law where you live requires your consent or a longer notice period for a particular change, we will follow that instead.
We may suspend or end access to the Site, or stop distributing the Extension. You may stop using both at any time and uninstall the Extension. The sections that should naturally outlive the agreement do — the license restrictions, donations already made, the disclaimers, the limit on liability, and governing law.
11. Governing law and where disputes go
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Maryland have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them — subject to the following.
- California residents keep their rights under CalOPPA and the CCPA/CPRA, which Maryland law does not displace.
- If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you also get the mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.
- The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply — this is not a sale of goods.
12. Odds and ends
If a court decides part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still stands. We may transfer these Terms to someone else, for example in a reorganization of the company; you may not transfer them without our agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Extension and the Site, and they replace any earlier version.
